The SOAS Department of Economics is one of the country's leading departments specialising in the economics of development and growth. Research is pursued on a variety of topics and is unique in its depth and range of regional coverage. A special feature of the Department is the orientation to Political Economy and heterodox approaches to Economics. In addition, the Department has strength in economic theory. Individual members of staff possess considerable practical expertise in econometrics, however empirical methods are not the primary focus of the Department as a whole. The Department has an active Working Paper series and a regular output of publications.Visit Site
