Abstract:: This article analyzes the development of Turkish-Saudi Arabian relations from the beginning of the struggle of the al-Saud family to gain power in the Arab peninsula to today. As a result of negative perceptions from both sides, bilateral relations were distant for decades. However, Turkish-Saudi relations began to improve remarkably under the AK Party and King Abdullah governments and a rapprochement started in 2005. Many agreements were signed during visits by political leaders from both sides. After the Arab uprisings began at the end of 2010, both countries took their cooperation further. As the two countries least influenced by the uprisings, Turkey and the Saudi Kingdom have been supporting the newly emerging political elites (Islamic groups) in Egypt, Libya and Syria; they have been maintaining close relations with the Western countries; and they have been trying to preserve regional stability and balance against Iran and its allies. However, there are some differences in their regional policies, such as their perceptions on the pace and scope of changes.

Abstract:: When we consider Saudi Arabian large population, territories and natural resources, it is obvious that it will continue to preserve its geopolitical, geo-economic and geo-cultural importance in future. The assumption of King Abdullah as the ruler of the country provided an opportunity to restructure the country's foreign policy. The new king began to follow a more pragmatic, rational, interdependent, multilateral and multidimensional foreign policy. He pursues an active foreign policy required to be less dependent on a single state (the United States) and on a single product (oil).

Abstract:: The perception of side towards another is important in Turkish-EU relations. In this study, an evaluation was made regarding the EU's perception towards Turkey. In order to understand well the European perception of Turkey, a short introduction about the European integration was written, then Turkey's meaning for the EU and the European perception of Turkey in dif-ferent issue areas such as history, geography, economy, international system and the EU public opinion was analyzed. Different factors were taken into consideration to conclude the importance of Turkey for the EU.

Abstract:: Bu çalışma 2010 yılında Suudi Arabistan'da gelişen iç ve dış politika konuların genel bir analizini yapmaya çalışmaktadır. 2010 yılında Suudi iç siyasetinin en önemli gündem konusu yapılması beklenen reformlar olmuştur. Özellikle kadınların kamusal, ekonomik ve siyasal hayata katılması konusunda adımlar atılmaya devam edilmiştir. İç siyasette devlettin kurumsallaşması adına yasal mevzuatın geliştirilmesine de özen gösterilmiştir. Suudi ekonomisi stratejik doğal kaynaklar (petrol ve doğalgaz) fiyatları ile hac ziyareti ve gelirlerine bağımlı olmaya devam etti. Ancak ekonominin çeşitlendirilmesi çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Dış politikada ise Yemen, Filistin ve Irak gibi bölgesel sorunlarda aktif bir rol oynamaya çalışan Suudi Yönetimi, dış ilişkilerini çeşitlendirme konusunda ilave adımlar attı. ABD ile iyi ilişkilerini devam ettirirken Çin ve Hindistan gibi Doğulu ülkelerle ilişkilerini geliştirmeye çalıştı.

Abstract:: As the largest oil reserves in the world, Saudi Arabia's dependence on strategic natural resources influences not only its economy but also its domestic and foreign policies. Saudi Arabia is dependent on a single product (oil) and on a single power (the United States). The Kingdom attempts to diversify its economy and foreign policy. Upon the decrease of oil reserves and exports in the midterm, the increase of governmental spending and the rapid increase of domestic oil consumption, Saudi authorities began to search for natural gas and attempt to have nuclear energy. Due to the possibility of these attempts to change domestic, regional and global balances, the Saudi Kingdom face difficulties in recent times.

Abstract:: This study elaborates change in Turkish foreign policy since the end of the Cold War. This change was explained with interdependence and diversification concepts. Four main factors play a significant role in change of Turkish foreign policy orientation. After a brief introduction, these four factors (historical heritage and cultural factors, geographical location, politi-cal preferences, economic needs) were analyzed. In the second section of the study, interdependence and diversification in Turkish foreign policy are ana-lyzed based on these factors. Due to economic needs and political prefe-rences, Turkey entered into an integration process with the West. As a result of historical and cultural factors, it has been pursuing an active policy to-wards the Muslim world. Similarly, it initiated cooperation in many issue areas with the Turkic world due to strong ethnic and cultural connections. Finally, it developed close relations with regional countries due to historical heritage and geographical connections.
